About ERM

The European Regional Meeting (ERM) was established 18 years ago by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) with a simple yet powerful vision: to unite Nepalis across Europe, strengthen our identity, and ensure that every Nepali—no matter where they live—remains connected to their roots. ERM began as a gathering to share experiences, build relationships, and create dialogue. Today, it has evolved into one of the most important platforms for addressing the needs, challenges, and aspirations of millions of Nepalis living, studying, and working abroad.

Why ERM Matters for Immigrants

ERM plays a crucial role in the lives of Nepali immigrants. It helps us: • Understand our identity and heritage • Build community support systems • Raise concerns faced by students, workers, families, and long-term residents • Strengthen our collective voice at the national level For Nepalis living far from home, ERM is a space where our stories, struggles, and hopes are heard and respected.

Why Support ERM?

NRNA is a social organization, but it serves as a vital bridge between Nepalis abroad and the Government of Nepal. Supporting ERM means strengthening this bridge and ensuring our voices reach policymakers. Through ERM, we collectively advocate for: • Embassy and consular services • NRN Card improvements • Citizenship rights and legal clarity • G2G coordination • Health, culture, tourism, and investment opportunities • Strong diaspora representation. ERM is not politically influenced, but every issue we face—citizenship, rights, identity— requires political engagement. ERM provides a unified platform to communicate these needs to the government.

How ERM Is Funded

NRNA programs are self-funded. They rely on membership fees, contributions, and voluntary support from individuals and organizations who believe that small contributions can create big impact for Nepalis abroad and for Nepal itself.

A Message to the Nepali Community in Ireland

To the Nepali community in Ireland — you have always stood with us. You have always given more than we asked. You are the true heroes of our journey. As President of NCC Ireland, I am deeply honored to serve you. Let us gather in Dublin this August — to listen, to share, and to stand together for our collective future.

Message from the President – NCC Ireland:

The Non‑Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has always stood on a simple yet powerful foundation: For Nepali, By Nepali. As we prepare to host the 17th European Regional Meeting (ERM) in Dublin on 10–11 August 2026, I extend my warmest welcome to all delegates, leaders, and community members joining us from across Europe and beyond.

For 18 years, ERM has been a unifying platform—bringing together the voices, experiences, and aspirations of millions of Nepalis living abroad. It is where our identity is strengthened, our challenges are acknowledged, and our collective future is shaped. As immigrants, students, workers, and families living far from home, ERM gives us a space where our stories are heard and respected.

This year’s theme—Citizenship, Investment, and Prosperity—reflects our commitment to meaningful action. Through ERM, we continue advocating for improved consular services, clarity on citizenship rights, NRN card reforms, and stronger coordination between governments. These issues may be political in nature, but our purpose remains social, community‑driven, and rooted in unity.

ERM 2026 is also a moment of renewal. With young minds, innovative ideas, and sustainable plans, we look forward to building a stronger, more connected global NRN community. Let us leave behind old differences and move forward with shared purpose and respect.

To the Nepali community in Ireland—you have always stood with us. Your support, generosity, and dedication are the backbone of our journey. As President of NCC Ireland, I am honored to serve you and represent our collective voice.

Let us gather in Dublin this August—to listen, to share, and to stand together for our future.

Once a Nepali, Always a Nepali.

Cheta Raj Oli
President, NRNA NCC Ireland
